PonoPlayer
Many have already almost killed the iPod, a device that  revolutionized the music segment  and today seems to have lost the battle against smartphones and very popular bets such as online streaming services.
However, there are those who still believe in the market for portable players. For example the artist  Neil Young , who is leading the project  PonoPlayer . This player with a design "toblerone" according to its makers offer " digital-quality music master study at the highest audio fidelity possible . " Player will work in conjunction with PonoMusic.com service, which will offer a catalog of music from large and small record companies and which shall in particular take into account the quality of the audio .

The PonoPlayers have  128 GB of storage capacity , which allows its creators to store between 100 and 500 music albums with quality and yet offer an  expansion slot  for memory cards. The touch screen allows control playback, but there are three physical buttons that highlight the unique design especially in the player.
Few details are known about the technical specifications of the portable player, although it is known that has a  ESS  ES9018 DAC  . It has not been talked about formats that will work, though as many say, the problem is not the format, but the master is of good quality, and it will be interesting to see how it competes this solution with products like the  FiiO X3 and X5  that are popular among audiophiles.
The appearance of PonoPlayer was actually scheduled for 2013 but was delayed and finally Neil Young and now the company responsible for its production and distribution will launch a  campaign on Kickstarter . The device will be priced at  $ 399 , and that collective financing aims to demonstrate that portable players are still felt in the market.
